About Us - The FYVE STAR Story
Our Company


FYVE STAR, Inc.® was founded in 1991 and was incorporated as an S Corp in 1993. We are a Small "Woman-Owned, Veteran Owned Business" and are graduated from the SBA's 8(a) program. We are registered on Pro-Net, and are in the CCR Database. Our ORCA records are available. We have a 97% ABVS Score. We are trained in WAWF.

We are also certified with Utah Transit Authority, Airport Authority, and U.D.O.T. The name FYVE STAR, Inc ® and the logo has been Trademarked with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

We Manufacture and Distribute a variety of products, Specializing in Deicing Technology Products, Aircraft Cleaners, and Chemicals for the Airline Industry. 
We have a complete Salt Division. We also supply the Equipment for applying the chemicals, and storage. Because of the seasonal impact of our business, we also published the Utah Preservation Magazine under contract with the state of Utah for 10 years. That contract ended in 2008.

After 9/11 we experienced the same slump that most small businesses were feeling. We chose to diversify even further and we began working with large government entities on procurement requests ranging from custom machinery, heavy equipment sales, Televisions, Satellite dishes, misc. parts and pretty much anything that our clients needed.


We were contracted to build the 6 station "Automated Batting Cage" at Hill AFB. And with that several other construction jobs emerged.

For Several years we were under an IDIQ contract for Hill AFB to paint base wide.

Our projects range in size and scope and include everything from HVAC redesign and improvements to Security fencing, to room additions, and even Landscape Design and Property Management. We have seen and done it all!   

We understand the needs of the military and the government procurement process, and we strive to excel in everything we do.

Our Capabilities


We have two local warehouses (Mid West)  for our Manufacturing Process, we work with delightful and insightful forward thinking people all of whom are proud to be working for country and state, additionally we appreciate our local small business community, our minority owned businesses, the small businesses, and Woman Owned Businesses as our neighbors, our community, our State and our country.

We are partnered up with the Salt Depot located In Utah and their facility has the capability of producing up to several hundred pallets of Ice Melter per shift. If you need it we can supply it!

We have Bulk Road Salt and can deliver to your location or your drivers can call for a dock appointment. It's all about convenience and availability.


We work as the military sales division for Cryotech Deicing Technology products.

We also work with several other deicing companies such as CalChlor, Dow Chemical, Scotwood Industries, Clariant and more so if you have a specific request we will most likely be able to help you.

We work as the source supplier to the US Military for Vestergaard Deicing Equipment. This includes Trucks and Extended Reach Booms both Class A and Class B. All products are ASTM Approved and are used in the Commercial Airline Industry Worldwide.

On a statewide basis we are contracted with the Transit Authority, Hospitals, Malls, Building Management Companies, Resorts, Hospitals, Hotels, and etc...

On a national basis we typically work with the Department of Defense, Defense Supply Center, Air Force Bases, Municipal Airports,  Homeland Security, Military Installations, National Park Service, Private Sector business and Independent Contractors.
